We believe we are part of the community and therefore we have a responsibility to care for others and our town! We also desire to do what we can to raise awareness for local charities and raise much needed funds when we can. We want others to take part in these events and enjoy the personal reward and joy that comes from helping others but also we ask if you have a charity or organisation you are passionate about and we could help you please contact us as we may be able to join forces! 2005 - Emily Ran with thousands of others at Prospect Park to raise money for Race for Life Cancer Research She completed in 47 Minutes not bad for someone who has NEVER ran before! haha Ok Ok so I power walked some of it but hey I am still proud! 2006 - Crohn's & Collitis Nail Paint-athon Event (In loving Memory of Ian Lambourne My wonderful Uncle) Proceeds went to the NACC a very worthwhile charity where money goes to people in the UK with Crohns or Collitis. 2007 DBARC - Diana Brimblecombe's Animal Rescue Shelter Raised money via a Nail Painting Marathon & Charity Box on our Reception Desk www.dbarc.org.co.uk/ is their website if you are interesting in fostering or adopting an animal Or perhaps you fancy raising some money or donating your time to the shelter all info on their site We also reguarly give away Raffle Prizes to local schools or summer fetes to help them raise cash for schools and we also have given a raffle prize 2 years running to a lovely customer of ours who raises money for Cancer and holds an event yearly at Pangbourne Hall. 2009 CHARITY EVENTS As always we are collecting constantly for Crohns and Collitis and Animal Rescue by way of collection tins on our reception desk March 28th Saturday 10 - 5 we held an express beauty day with all profits to DBARC this helped to save a dogs life and we are so so proud and grateful to all our customers who took part and/or donated!
